EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a specialized therapy to help process traumatic experiences. EMDR engages both parts of your brain, usually through eye movement or sounds. EMDR can be a powerful tool to ease the pain of traumatic experiences, such as intrusive memories, nightmares, fear, and avoidance.

Before engaging clients in EMDR, I conduct a full history, assess your readiness, and practice grounding exercises. EMDR can be an add-on to your treatment with another therapist, a stand-alone intervention, or incorporated into the trauma therapy I provide.
