Therapy Practice

I am a New York City-based trauma therapist who sees individual adults virtually and in-person. My office is located in Chelsea.

I specialize in working with clients who identify as neurodivergent, particularly ADHD/autistic/highly sensitive/gifted, and LGBTQIA+. I am sex-positive and kink and poly friendly. Read my Psychology Today profile.

My therapy practice is grounded in the principles of social work, trauma theory, neurodiversity and liberation.

Social Work Values

Advocating for social justice, respecting the dignity and worth of each person, and valuing the importance of human relationships.

Trauma Theory

Distressing emotions and behaviors are often adaptations to the trauma we have experienced. Therapy focuses on processing what happened to us and how we responded, not what’s wrong with us, so we can learn new, healthier responses.

Neurodiversity

Neurocognitive variability in humans is normal and beautiful. Those of us whose nervous systems differ from what’s “typical” or “normal” need support and accommodation, not shame and blame.

Liberation

Our societies, families, culture and other contexts shape our experience and expression of mental and emotional distress. Healing involves meaning-making and reclaiming our autonomy.
